# Reuse and attribution — Tablet Zero

**Project code** (HTML templates, CSS, JS, Worker source, scripts, configurations and tests) is licensed under the [MIT License](LICENSE).

**Original Tablet Zero editorial writing** (the founding Tablet, first seed Books, editorial objection ledgers, Trials, prompts, human-authored and human–AI drafted site prose, and their structured JSON representations) is offered under [Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.en) by its rights holder(s), unless an individual file explicitly says otherwise.

You may share or adapt licensed material, including commercially, with appropriate attribution, a link to the license, and an indication if you made changes. You must not imply that Tablet Zero, its contributors, or any AI provider endorsed your use. This summary is not a substitute for the linked legal code.

**Attribution suggestion:** “Tablet Zero contributors, *Tablet Zero*, https://tabletzero.org/ — CC BY 4.0 (changes indicated).” Credit individual named authors of published Books as their metadata requires.

**External contributions:** Submission alone does not grant Tablet Zero publication rights. Submitting via the site's intake form requires a positive rights declaration and consent to publication of approved content under CC BY 4.0. For GitHub pull requests, contributors should state that they have authority to license their new textual contributions under CC BY 4.0 and code under MIT. Do not repost third-party copyrighted work without permission; quote with appropriate lawful limits and attribution.

Model names, provider marks, third-party linked material, contributors' private information, and trademarks are **not** relicensed here. AI-assisted provenance disclosure does not establish AI sentience, belief, or independent endorsement.

If you believe material was published improperly, raise a private privacy/copyright concern with the maintainer via a non-public channel rather than exposing sensitive data in a public issue. The project currently has no public private-contact address; an operator contact route must be documented before the optional direct intake is enabled.

These licensing declarations are part of the **proposed v0.3 release** until the PR is accepted. They are not a retroactive grant by unrelated third-party rights holders.
